FreeCelebrate perseverance, education, and cultural heritage at the 33rd Annual Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival! The Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival is a free, family-oriented cultural celebration for all to enjoy live music and dance performances, world foods and artisan vendors, as well as heritage and history of the African Diaspora.

- Children’s Activity Tent by Chesapeake Children’s Museum!
- 100+ arts & crafts, food, and education & community vendors!
- Admission is free! Donations are accepted.
- All located at the scenic and historical Susan Campbell Park at Annapolis City Dock!
The festival commemorates Kunta Kinte’s arrival in Annapolis in 1767 and observes his struggle to preserve his cultural heritage. Thousands of people locally, and nationally, come to the festival to partake in the day’s activities in scenic and historic Downtown Annapolis, where Kunta Kinte was brought from The Gambia, West Africa.
