What makes CYSO diff

What makes CYSO different? Opportunity.
This season, Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra students aren’t just rehearsing — they’re performing across the region and beyond.

Our Jazz Ensemble will appear at the Apex Arts Jazz Festival on Friday, February 13, and the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival on Sunday, February 15. Our Flute Ensemble will perform at the Flute Society of Washington Annual Convention on February 14–15. A CYSO chamber ensemble will be featured at The Mainstay in Rock Hall on Sunday, April 19 — all in addition to our regular spring concerts, season finale, and two summer camps.

CYSO offers orchestras, jazz, and flute ensembles for students ages 8–21, with real performance experiences that help young musicians grow in confidence, skill, and community.

If you’re looking for more than just a weekly rehearsal, CYSO may be the right fit.
