Anne Arundel County Summer Foodie Events + Kid-Approved Bites

Sippin’, Snackin’, and Soakin’ Up Summer in Anne Arundel County + Kid-Approved Bites

*In Adele’s voice* “Hello…it’s me!” Summer is here, and we’re calling all outdoor lovers!

Whether you’re a full-time foodie or just chasing your next drink in the breeze, Anne Arundel County is serving up a summer smorgasbord with a side of sunshine. Grab your shades and stretchy pants—it’s going to get delicious.

Annapolis Town Center: Picnic Perfection + Movie Magic

Annapolis Town Center’s Boathouse Pavilion and Green is Annapolis’ unofficial backyard. Pick up your favorite eats nearby, like Neo, Toastique, Urbano, or Tatte, and plop down on the green! The Town Center also has two recurring events, both family-friendly:

  • Movies Under the Stars is on the second Saturday of each month from June until August (June 14, July 12, August 9). Bring a blanket, a lawn chair, and your favorite snacks!
  • Summer Concert Series is on the fourth Friday of each month from June until August (June 27, July 25, August 22). There will be live music, food trucks, vendors, and activities for all ages.

Food Truck Nites: The Culinary Caravan

Dinner is covered almost every weekday thanks to Food Truck Nites, leaving your kitchen spotless!

  • Tuesdays at Earleigh Heights (161 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD. 21146)
  • Wednesdays on the Farm (8401 Veterans Highway, Millersville, MD 21108)
  • Thursdays in Odenton (1425 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD, 21113)
  • Fridays in Annapolis (275 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401)

Dinner Under the Stars: Al Fresco with Flair

The annual Dinner Under the Stars series in downtown Annapolis kicked off last month, where local restaurants spill into the streets and musicians bring the vibes. Every Wednesday from 6 to 10 pm, enjoy dining al fresco at Luna Blu*, Tsunami Sushi Bar and Lounge, 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery, Stan and Joe’s Saloon, Ram’s Head Tavern*, and Picante*. Check out their online schedule for the Dinner Under the Stars Concerts, where you can enjoy live music while you dine.

Kid-Approved Bites and Beachy Nights

Got little ones? Or just a strong appreciation for chicken tendies and tiki vibes?

Coconut Joe’s is your go-to island escape without leaving the county. My family and I enjoyed:

  • Tiki Nachos (complete with house-fried tortilla chips)
  • Coconut Shrimp (crunchy, golden heaven)
  • Joe’s Famous Rice Bowl (with blackened chicken)
  • Kid Entrees: buttered noodles + chicken tenders (chef’s kiss for picky eaters)

The kids had a blast playing on the fenced-in pirate ship while the adults enjoyed a frozen Pina Colada or Margarita for every tantrum endured (just kidding).

Bonus: Bay Views & Barefoot Dining Just Over the Bridge

Bonus: Bay Views & Barefoot Dining Just Over the Bridge

Technically not in Anne Arundel County, but close enough to call it a cousin:

  • Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen + Cocktails: Outdoor seating, sweeping bay views, and Adirondack chairs perfect for digesting and dramatic sunset watching.
  • The Kentmorr Beach Bar + Grill: Eat with your toes in the sand and a tropical drink in your hand. Bonus: They have a tiki bar. You’re welcome.

This summer, let Anne Arundel County be your flavor playground. From tacos under string lights to crab cakes by the bay, the only thing better than the views are the bites. So go forth, feast under the stars, and let your summer memories live on.

Spring is a natural

Spring is a natural time to reset. 🌿

Longer days and warmer weather often bring more activity—but they can also highlight changes in a loved one’s routine, mobility, or energy.

It’s a good moment to pause, check in, and ensure the right support is in place for the season ahead.

For more than 20 years, @angelcarenetwork.md has supported families across Anne Arundel County. As a woman-owned, local business and proud Annapolis Moms community sponsor, they connect families with compassionate caregivers who bring comfort, consistency, and peace of mind.
