Cirque du Soleil, the innovative theater troupe, is set to dazzle Baltimore audiences once again with its enchanting holiday show, ‘Twas the Night Before. Returning for the first time since 2019, the exclusive engagement at the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center promises 17 performances (Nov. 24-Dec. 3) filled with the magic of the season.
This inaugural holiday production is inspired by Clement Clarke Moore’s classic poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas” (you know the one– sugar plums, reindeer, and a bowl full of jelly!) The plot of the story revolves around a young girl rediscovering the joy of the holidays. With a cast of 26 international artists, the show features breathtaking acrobatics, lovable characters, and a soundtrack of holiday favorites reinvented by Cirque du Soleil.
Did you know…?
- The intricate makeup and hair design require 25 pots of glitter, 60 cans of colored hair spray, and 340 makeup brushes each night!
- The show boasts 52 different costumes, including eight reindeer outfits, featuring 125 fabrics, 2,000 sequins per costume, and an impressive array of props and stage design.
- With 12,200 linear feet of garland and recycled artificial snow equivalent to the volume of five large dump trucks, the attention to detail is amazing!
An evening with Cirque du Soleil is like no other; theater meets circus meets absolute sensory delights on every level.
Baltimore is one of only seven cities selected for this exclusive show and tickets for the 17 performances are available now at CirqueDuSoleil.com.
‘Twas the Night Before by Cirque du Soleil promises to be an unforgettable experience for families, kicking off the holiday season with the magic of live entertainment!
