Do not miss this holiday spectacular show, playing now through December 3 at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore.
We took two of our kids, ages 7 and 9, on opening night, and they are still talking about it! They loved the humor, daring acrobatics, and “how did they do that?” moments.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Parking was easy-peasy. We parked in a garage right next to the venue and paid $15 for event parking. We paid on arrival at the garage, so we did not have to wait long on the way out either. If you don’t want to deal with parking at all, there is a Springhill Suites hotel across the street that will valet park for you for $40 (you do not have to be a hotel guest to use the valet.)
- We grabbed a quick bite at Nando’s before the show (across the street from the venue). It was a perfect choice- super fast service and a warm meal with something for everyone on the menu (wine and beer too!)
- We arrived early so there was plenty of time to walk around the venue, grab some snacks, and use the restrooms before we found our seats. I appreciate that they had one tasteful merch stand set-up in one corner but the venue was not overloaded with cheap souvenirs (that kids obsess over!) like some shows.
- I had been to the Hippodrome before, but I forgot what a beautiful venue it is inside. You feel transported to another time looking around at the gold carved accents, the ornate balconies, velvet curtains, and the painted motif on the ceiling that could be a Botticelli.
- I don’t want to spoil any surprises of the show but these were some of our favorites:
- Bald, muscled angel and his fairy-like companion performing impossible feats using only some high-flying straps
- The hilarious routine with the gymnasts dressed in festive bunny onesies.
- I can’t explain this and you’ll have to see for yourself- but…is it really just her hair?!?
- Psychedelic yo-yo act with fun audience participation.
You don’t want to miss this amazing show that will put you in the holiday spirit in the most magical way! Hurry and buy your tickets now; the show is only here until December 3!
