The Bohemian Black Festival, presented by House of Design & Co, is Maryland’s exclusive community fashion event. Back again for 2023 with a completely new experience, encounter the transformative power of community, creativity, art, and connection. This year’s theme celebrates fashion, music, and small businesses, and each day of the festival provides a completely unique and immersive experience.
Step into a workshop where the art of styling comes to life. With expert guidance from a stylist, explore the world of fashion and beauty and be inspired. Professional hair, makeup, and styling experts share new trends and different styles, industry secrets and techniques plus Q&A sessions.
Music by DJ Blackberri and a live performance by Ryan Collins. Browse community vendor booths in the festival marketplace and sip on signature mocktails and exquisite wines.
Kids can play an outdoor laser tag adventure and get their faces painted. Families can enjoy food and treats from vendors and food trucks and, pose for pictures at the photo booth.
At the heart of this festival is a celebration of the diverse talents and contributions of artists, designers, musicians, stylists, makeup artists, and hairstylists who help make The Bohemian Black Festival vision a reality.
The main event is the Bohemian Black Fashion Show, showcasing the line curated by the designers of Bohemian Black, the apparel and retail shopping destination. There will be multiple fashion shows throughout the weekend on the main stage.
September is Suicide Prevention Month, and the festival has partnered with the non-profits The Life of Joy Foundation, which focuses on holistic approaches to mental health, and Praise by the Waves, which promotes life-changing empowerment forums in mental, physical, economic, and spiritual health around the world. A percentage of all ticket sales will go towards their missions to nurture mental wellness and prevent suicide.
