Party with Parrotheads, enjoy dinner and drinks and watch the last sunset of the summer on the Bay at the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s 18th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash.
Soak in the sounds of Key West with musicians that shaped a lifestyle: touring and recording members of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band Peter Mayer, Doyle Grisham, and Eric Darken, along with world-class musicians Scott Kirby and John Frinzi.
“The Boatyard Beach Bash has become a cherished occasion on the calendar for many, offering an opportunity for attendees to enjoy themselves in a beach-like atmosphere, reminiscent of Key West while supporting a worthy cause,” said Mayer, lead guitarist for the Coral Reefers.
New this year, the Floating Collective band comprised of three legacies of the Coral Reefer Band – Mick Utley, Brendan Mayer, and Erin McAnally will start the fun. JD Spradlin, host of Radio Margaritaville serves as emcee.
While known as being one of the best parties in Annapolis, the Boatyard Beach Bash is most importantly a philanthropic event with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the museum’s environmental education programs.
“We cannot express our gratitude enough for the continued support of Dick Franyo of the Boatyard Bar & Grill and our other sponsors. With their help, we have been able to raise over $1.4 million since 2004 and educate, on average, 12,000 local students annually, training them to be Chesapeake Bay stewards,” commented Alice Estrada, the museum’s president.
