BD Provisions is celebrating its first anniversary on April 6th! If you haven’t visited yet, they’re a gourmet bulk food store and the only coffee roaster in Anne Arundel County. Located just off Route 2 in Severna Park, you will not find another bulk food store with the same eco-friendly standards, quality, freshness, or support for the local community.

Aside from offering eco-friendly solutions, BD Provisions also supports the local community by working with the Maryland Department of Labor, Workforce Development, and the Anne Arundel County School System. They’ve put together an apprenticeship program slotted to begin in the spring and are currently accepting resumes. This program is for high school students seeking to learn a trade versus going to college. We asked the franchise owner, Debra Saltz, who would be a good fit for this position, and she told us, “This student ideally wants to learn the trade of roasting coffee, how to run a retail establishment, and can be groomed for a manager position upon high school graduation.”
As part of BD Provision’s mission to support the local community, Saltz also shared, “We are always looking to collaborate with others and feature local products, as long as they match our values.” Whether you have something seasonal, small batch, or even consistent and quality eggs, please reach out to the store to discuss future opportunities.
