It’s Halloween night. Trick-or-Treating is done. The frenzied dumping and trading of candy is done. Grown-ups are chilling by the fire pit or maybe snuggling on the couch with the older children– staying up past their bedtime. It’s the perfect time for a ghost story!
Please enjoy these two tales of Annapolis’ legendary haunts, graciously retold and recorded for us by Melissa Huston of Annapolis Tours and Crawls. We have two levels of fright for you this evening! (For an even younger crowd, see our Madlib Halloween Tale for a fun bedtime story!)
The Tale of Thomas Dance (or the “Capitol Ghost”) involves minimal gore, and we recommend it to a PG audience of 8 years or older.
The Ghost of Cornhill Street is a spookier tale with all the Halloween trimmings: gore, crime, and a truly disturbing haunt! This tale is recommended only for adults and older teens looking for a fright!
